It’s time to grab your sewing machines, glue gun, and heaps of fabric because we’re ready to see your skills. We’re accepting the first 50 submissions only, so get your application in quick!
The application will open on Monday, May 3 at 3:00 PM CT and close on Friday, May 21 at 11:59 PM CT (unless we get our 50 contestants before this date).
Submissions can be sent via photo(s) or video(s) [no audio, video only]. Judges will consider the following criteria in relation to each Entry: design, quality, accuracy, presentation, effort, and creativity. Judges may reject an Entry in their sole discretion if the costume contains inappropriate content, if it is not sufficiently original, or if it does not meet the appropriate criteria.
There will be one (1) winner in each of the following categories:
- Best Re-Creation (a costume copied from a pre-existing design)
- Best Original Design (a design original to the maker/wearer, which may be inspired by a work of fantasy, science fiction, mythology, etc. but is not a copy)
- Best Workmanship
- Best Prop Skills
- Overall Winner
All applicants will be required to agree to all Rules and Terms to participate, including an Appearance Release.
