The Official RTX Cosplay Contest presented by HBO Max
The Official RTX Cosplay Contest presented by HBO Max is back for RTX Austin. We’re so excited to see this year’s creations in-person on Saturday, July 2 at the Hilton Austin Hotel.
We’re excited to announce our judges for this contest to be Alyson Tabbitha, Mangoloo, and Anna Fugate!
This year, our cosplay contest is presented by HBO Max, where we will feature a new category for its Hero Mode characters! From Westeros to Gotham, we celebrate the greatest heroes, anti-heroes, and villains throughout the multiverse. The winner of this category will receive a special prize from HBO Max!
Categories for this year’s Cosplay Contest include:
- Design
- Quality
- Accuracy
- Presentation
- Effort
- Creativity
- Best HBO Max Character
Cosplayers will be able to apply for the contest on site in the Hilton Austin Hotel, starting the morning of Saturday July 2 at 10AM. You’ll be able to find the sign up station located just outside the Animation Festival on the 4th floor. Please be aware that if you are planning to participate, the judging process and award panel is expected to take roughly 4 hours in total. We will only have 50 slots available for this contest, however we can’t wait to see everyone’s amazing work on these creations!
We recommend you bring a picture of the character you are portraying.
